International Ban on Hydraulic Fracturing

Recent seismic events in Central Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas are lending credence to the possibility that this activity is being caused, directly or indirectly, by the widespread practice of Hydraulic Fracturing to extract natural gas from shale deposits deep underground. It may be the actually fracking causing the quakes, it may be the storage of massive amounts of contaminated waste water above the sites, either way, its occurring in places that haven’t had quake activity in any significant amount historically. Many nations are calling for the practice to be banned outright. I think we should work on this locally and globally because it is spreading worldwide as the supply of natural gas easily collected dwindles.

Apparently, there are reported indications that fission is not slowing down as rapidly as hoped at Fukushima 2 reactor, in fact, it seems to have increased in activity, leading to its operator stating the plan to start dismantling it will likely need to be postponed.

Not certain if Howard Zinn originally professed the statement “Governments lie”, but he certainly deserves much credit for it. Maybe the extension I feel needs to be added to it is “All”, as in All governments lie, but it was probably implied by Zinn.
